DOGUE'S Team

My mum Simone Kingston and I started DOGUE back in 1997. (That’s us in the photo – I am the one with the good hair).

We had been searching high and low for anything that would satisfy my very pampered pallet, needless to say, to no avail. So that’s when mum and I decided to go into business together. We sat down and nutted out exactly what it was that us dogs have spent way too long being deprived of, and set about designing our very own exclusive doggy label – DOGUE.

DOGUE opened its doors on March 1st 1998 and it wasn’t long before the dogs of Sydney were barking in delight. It was the “House of Canine Couture” with its designer labels, trendy fads and fancies. It was a store dedicated exclusively to us dogs and was there to cater to our every whim. THANK DOG, it was about time, Australia had its first dog boutique!

In 2005, mum and I were ready to expand DOGUE. Our designs were becoming so popular that everyone wanted to get their paws on them so we decided it was to time to open DOGUE WHOLESALE so we could sell our products to other dog loving stores.

Of course to do this we needed two new Doguectors so mum and I still had time to go to the park.

Margaret Hennessy took on the role of Director of Retail, and with her came her own team of career orientated canines, Bon Scott and Coco Nut. Bon Scott is a pure breed so he tells me, whilst Coco Nut has a face only a mother could love, but they are a great team and together have made some really exciting changes to retail.

Tony Kingston took on the role of Director of Wholesale and has expanded our range of DOGUE products into many stores across Australia, New Zealand and Japan. He is also kind of my dad, but only when it suits me, ie: when mums not around or when he has a lamb chop in his hand.  

As for me and mum we became the Directors of Design, which was purrfect for us creative types as after so many years of dealing in dog fashion we knew a thing or two about what it was that us dogs with good taste are after.

So now we all look forward to bow wowing you for many more years to come.
