Welcome cyberdog.
Fashion hounds on the social circuit can’t stop barking about Dogue and make a point of often popping on to their favourite site, Dogue.com.au to see what’s new and to pick up a few chic items unavailable at home.
Dogue spoofs the world of haute couture, designer labels and trendy fads and fancies. It also provides you with inside tips about the pleasures and playthings enjoyed by the world’s most pampered pets and best of all, it is a site dedicated exclusively for dogs, your needs and greatest desires.
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
My mum and I started Dogue back in 1998 (that is us in the photo – I am the one with the good hair), when mum went searching high and low for anything that would satisfy my very pampered pallet, needless to say, to no avail.
So that’s when I said “Hey mum, we can do better than this, let’s go into business together”, so mum and I sat down and nutted out exactly what it was that us dogs have spent way too long being deprived of, and set about designing our very own exclusive doggy label – DOGUE.
DOGUE TEAM IN 2007
Since those early days so much has happened and I want to give you an update of all the exciting changes that have taken place! Firstly, let me tell you about the DOGUE team…
We are a real mix of breeds, some pedigree, some not. There is Simone, my mum, and I (we are the trailblazers). Mum tells me that I am part Maltese part Chihuahua but I think she might be having me on. Then there is Adorabella, my long term pal, and Maggie, they have been involved right from the beginning too!
2005 saw me getting dog tired and with still so many things to achieve for DOGUE I decided to ask a couple of very talented tail-waggers to join DOGUE.
I am very pleased to introduce Bon Scott and Margaret. Bon Scott tells me he is definitely a purebred (and an awesome rock’n’roller) but I think he looks more like Fred Bassett than Snoopy so there is something a little skewiff! Anyway, he and Margaret are going to run DOGUE RETAIL from now on. Already they are making some great changes and have opened a second DOGUE HOUSE in Manly, Sydney. Margaret has a management consulting background (huh?) and work likes no dog I have ever seen!
I am also very pleased to introduce Tony – he is a tail-wagger all on his own (but we do not discriminate at DOGUE against non-dog parents) and apparently married to my mum (whatever that means something to do with sleeping in the same kennel). Tony is heading up DOGUE WHOLESALE having already very successfully set up another business, EAT ME SUSHI (got to be a joke here). DOGUE is now designing and importing our own fantastic products and we already have over 300 shops around Australia including David Jones.
And last but certainly not least, I would like to introduce:
- At DOGUE MANLY: Krissy, Kat, Trixie Lou, Dot Dot and Calvin. Together they all run the Manly Boutique (although many would say that Dot Dot is really the boss!) where they provide a wonderful grooming and retail experience with much enthusiasm and support for the local dogs.
- At DOGUE BONDI: Madeline and Nicola. Madeline is the most accepting of dogs, and has a kind word for everybody coming into our Bondi boutique, she is a Shih Tzu X Lhasa Apso. She is a wonderful mother to our puppies!
So where does that leave me and my dear ol’ mum? Well rest assured that we are still heavily involved in DOGUE on both the wholesale and retail side – we are responsible for DOGUE DESIGN which is just purrfect for such creative types and after so many years, we know a thing or two about what every dog with good taste wants.
We look forward to bow-WOWing you for many years to come! Please make my new colleagues welcome.
