Could Your Dog Be DOGUE’s Next Cover Dog?

DOGUE Coverdog is back for 2026 and we’re searching for one special pup to become Australia's next featured face of DOGUE!

Enter your dog for the chance to progress to our Top 12, win part of our $2,000+ prize pool and potentially take home the title of DOGUE Coverdog 2026.

Whether your dog is playful, polished, mischievous, camera-ready or simply unforgettable, we want to meet them!

How to Enter

Entering is easy! From Monday August 31:

Visit the DOGUE Cover Dog competition page.
Complete the online entry form
Upload your favourite clear photo of your dog.
Tell us about their personality and why they should be DOGUE’s next Coverdog.
Submit your entry before 11:59 pm AEST on Sunday 20 September 2026.

One entry is permitted per dog. Owners may enter multiple dogs, provided a separate entry is completed for each dog.

Important Competition Dates

Entries open: Monday 31 August at 10am until Sunday 20 September 2026 at 11:59 pm AEST
Public voting week: Monday 21 September 10am AEST until Sunday 27 September 2026 at 11:59 pm AEST
Top 12 finalists contacted: Monday 28 September 2026
Finalist videos due: Sunday 4 October 2026
Top 12 announced and Pooch’s Choice voting opens: Wednesday 7 October 2026
Pooch’s Choice voting closes: Tuesday 13 October 2026
Winners announced: Thursday 15 October 2026

How Public Voting Works

Public voting will be open for one week only, from 21–27 September, through the DOGUE Coverdog online gallery. The 12 eligible entries with the highest number of verified votes will progress to our Top 12 finalist round.

Each person may cast one vote per dog during the entire voting period. Once your vote has been submitted, it cannot be changed or used for another entry -so explore the gallery, choose your favourite and make your vote count!

Entrants are encouraged to share their unique entry link with as many friends and family members as possible during Voting Week.

What Happens If Your Dog Reaches the Top 12?

The 12 eligible dogs receiving the highest number of verified gallery votes will progress to the finalist stage.

The Top 12 will be privately contacted on Monday 28 September and asked to:

Create a 10–15-second vertical video showcasing their dog’s personality
Post the video publicly on Instagram and tag @clubdogue
Send the original video file directly to DOGUE

Finalist videos must be posted and sent to DOGUE by Sunday 4 October 2026.

If a finalist cannot complete the requirements by the deadline, DOGUE may offer their position to the next eligible entrant.

Vote for Pooch’s Choice

Once the Top 12 are announced, their finalist videos will appear in one official carousel on the @clubdogue Instagram account.

Followers can vote for Pooch’s Choice by commenting with their favourite finalist’s name on the official DOGUE carousel.

Only comments on the official Top 12 carousel will count. Comments on finalist posts, Reels, Stories or other DOGUE posts will not be included in the final count.

Pooch’s Choice voting will run from Wednesday 7 October until Tuesday 13 October 2026.

How the Major Winners Will Be Chosen

While Pooch’s Choice voting is underway, our judging panel will review the Top 12 finalists and their videos.

The judges will consider:

Personality and originality
Photo and video quality
Camera presence
The dog’s written entry and story
Alignment with the DOGUE brand
Suitability to become a featured face of DOGUE

The judging panel will select first, second and third place independently of the public votes. Winning Pooch’s Choice will not prevent a finalist from also receiving first, second or third place.

Major Prizes

Our major prize pool includes:

First Place – DOGUE Cover Dog 2026: $1,000 DOGUE prize pack
Runner-Up: $500 DOGUE prize pack
Third Place: $250 DOGUE prize pack
Pooch’s Choice: $250 DOGUE prize pack

The DOGUE Cover Dog 2026 winner will also receive the official title and opportunities to feature across DOGUE’s website, social media, email marketing, in-store content and potential future campaigns.

Eligible entries may also be considered for the following special awards each winning a DOGUE prize pack valued at $250.

These awards will be selected separately by our specialist judges. Entrants can indicate their eligibility for the relevant awards when completing the entry form.
